Our team is excited to share that SafeGuard Cyber Senior Vice President of Marketing, Lisa Hayashi, has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Cybersecurity for 2021. Lisa was ranked No. 23 on the annual recognition list published by The Software Report.
At SafeGuard Cyber, Lisa is responsible for our organization's global marketing strategies, developing programs across brand, corporate, product, and customer marketing. She also directs SafeGuard Cyber's demand generation, corporate communications, public relations, and event marketing activities, and recently guided SafeGuard Cyber’s 2021 rebranding campaign.
Prior to joining SafeGuard Cyber, Lisa's background has included previous VP of U.S. Operations roles with Snatch and Playstack and eight years with VKRM, a boutique early-stage venture capital firm. At VKRM, she managed assets and angel investments in diverse industries and supported five portfolio companies' successful exits.
Earlier in her career, Lisa led branding and marketing for Brocade, specializing in Fibre Channel storage networking products and technology, leading the company to one of the most successful IPOs of the mid-1990s. At Brocade, Lisa was Marketing Manager while in hyper-growth mode, growing from 30 employees to several hundred. She guided a brand marketing vision that established Brocade's Fibre-Channel networking as a disruptive technology that changed the industry forever.
Lisa is also an industry advocate for diversity, inclusion, and women's advancement in cybersecurity and technology. She is a member of AnitaB.org, CMO Council, and is currently launching a SafeGuard Cyber program to promote greater representation of women in the industry. Lisa also currently serves as a strategic advisor for several innovative early-stage startups focusing on consumer privacy, security, deskless workforce, and product development optimization.
Lisa graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and resides in Silicon Valley with her husband and two high school-aged children.
